dotnet tool install - not working

Hi,

when I try to install with dotnet tool install -g ALCops.Mcp I receive this error:
alcops.mcp is not found in NuGet feeds https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json".

Could you please take a look?

Hi @vkozlov-sit,

The issue is that all published versions of ALCops.Mcp are currently prerelease(alpha), and dotnet tool install skips prerelease packages by default. To install it, add the --prerelease flag:

dotnet tool install -g ALCops.Mcp --prerelease

This is documented in the dotnet tool install reference (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/tools/dotnet-tool-install) under the --prerelease option.
