Gutenberg Editor Field

Is that something planned for the future?

ACF already brings custom fields to blocks, but would it be possible to bring the Editor to it’s own custom field, so we can make use of Gutenberg in a front-end form for example.

I really hope so! How hard is it to implement Elliot? The groundwork seems to be done: WordPress/gutenberg#13088

Hi Dennis.

I'll keep my eyes on that PR and watch what unfolds. It would definitely be interesting to create a "block editor" field type.

Hi @albertopriore. Unfortunately not. The Gutenberg editor is wildly complex and is unlikely to behave within a "Custom Field".

That said, I'll be happy to investigate this in the future once an API exists for creating multiple editors on the same page :)
