Senior Platform Engineer — Example Labs (fictional)

About Example Labs

Example Labs is a fictional company for documentation and testing only. It does not represent a real employer. Use this file as a structural template for markdown JDs you store under jds/ and reference from data/pipeline.md as local:jds/your-file.md.

What you will do

  • Design and operate internal developer platforms (CI/CD, environments, observability).
  • Partner with product teams to improve reliability and delivery speed.
  • Automate toil and document runbooks for on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software or platform engineering.
  • Strong experience with a major cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Comfort with Go or Python for tooling; interest in developer experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kubernetes and service meshes at moderate scale.
  • Prior work on internal developer portals or self-service workflows.

How to use this sample

  1. Copy the ideas (sections, tone), not the text verbatim, into a new file under jds/.
  2. Add a line to data/pipeline.md: - [ ] local:jds/your-filename.md
  3. Run your usual pipeline flow (see modes/pipeline.md).
