Androidacy Code of Conduct

Introduction

At Androidacy, we are committed to fostering an open, inclusive, supportive, and respectful community for everyone who participates in our repositories and communities. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

This Code of Conduct applies to all Androidacy community spaces, including GitHub repositories, issue trackers, pull requests, discussions, and any other communication channel operated by or on behalf of Androidacy, LLC, both online and offline.

Our Pledge

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community. We value and respect all individuals irrespective of their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, nationality, disability, appearance, or technical expertise.

Our Standards

Expected Behavior

We expect all participants in Androidacy communities to:

  • Demonstrate empathy and kindness towards other people.
  • Respect personal identities and experiences, particularly related to LGBTQ+, race, religion, sexuality, gender, and disability.
  • Give and gracefully accept constructive feedback.
  • Take responsibility for mistakes, apologize to those affected, and learn from the experience.
  • Focus on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the overall community.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any form, whether public or private.
  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind.
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
  • Publishing others' private information (such as physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, financial information, or real names associated with pseudonymous accounts) without their explicit permission.
  • Sustained disruption of community discussions or events.
  • Any conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you are the subject of or witness any violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it by emailing community@androidacy.com.

Androidacy will review all reports promptly and will maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident to the extent practicable. Androidacy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action it deems appropriate in response to a violation, including but not limited to:

  • A private warning to the individual.
  • Temporary or permanent removal of content.
  • Temporary suspension from community participation.
  • Permanent ban from all Androidacy community spaces.

Androidacy is not obligated to act on any report or to provide a specific explanation for enforcement decisions. Enforcement decisions are final at Androidacy's discretion and are not subject to appeal under this Code of Conduct. Nothing in this Code of Conduct creates a right of appeal or review; however, to the extent an enforcement action gives rise to a dispute under the Androidacy Terms of Service, such dispute is subject to the dispute resolution provisions of the ToS at androidacy.com/terms/.

Content Responsibility

Androidacy will make reasonable efforts to moderate community content in accordance with these standards, but does not guarantee review of all content. Participants are responsible for the content they post. Androidacy is not liable for content posted by community participants.

Contributions and Intellectual Property

All contributions to Androidacy repositories, including code, documentation, and other materials, are governed by the Androidacy Contribution License Policy at androidacy.com/contribution-license-policy/. By submitting a contribution, you agree to the terms of that policy, including the license grants, representations, and warranties set forth therein.

Participants are expected to respect copyrights, trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property rights. Contributions must be original work or properly licensed under terms compatible with the applicable project license. Claims of copyright infringement should be submitted through the procedures in the Androidacy DMCA Policy at androidacy.com/dmca/.

Governing Terms

Participation in Androidacy communities is subject to the Androidacy Terms of Service at androidacy.com/terms/ and the Androidacy Privacy Policy at androidacy.com/privacy/. Where any provision of this Code of Conduct conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall control.

This Code of Conduct is a behavioral guideline and community standard. It does not create contractual obligations beyond those established by the Terms of Service and the policies incorporated therein.
