App crashes when I try to open sources or search for manga

Brief summary

Kotatsu and Yukimi both had a problem in Android 6 and lower where every source would appear bugged with an "Bad limit -xxx" error when you searched for any manga, that the developers never fixed. Still, some sources like Atsumaru miraculously worked, so the app was still usable.

With Futon however, the app instantly crashes when your search a manga or even try to enter the sources configuration to disable or enable source.

And trying to open manga imported from Yukimi just shows you an empty manga and tells you that "The Source isn't available". Pressing on alternatives as you can imagine also crashes the app.

Here are my logcat logs from the moment before the crash when I open the sources configuration, let me know if you need me to go further back

Did you install from Fdroid or Izzyondroid? Or from GitHub releases?

If you installed from GitHub, try downloading and installing again. The first APK had this issue.

Reinstalled the github release, same thing. Installed the Fdroid and Izzyondroid you mentioned just to see if they worked for some reason, same thing. But the version from F-Droid did go a little further than the other ones, when I searched for a manga instead of crashing immediately it actually loaded manga from two sources (Kagane and Yoru Mangás) then as it kept trying to load more it crashed.

@Max20720 I've added a workaround for the crashes, but the root problem is on Android 6 itself. I've detailed the problem and how a complete solution may be achieved on the pull request that will implement the workaround (#64).

Please note that the error will still happen on some sources, but it won't crash the app now.

Right, Thank you! Honestly I was hoping to just get a fix to the crashes, former devs weren't able to fix the other errors so as long as the app was still useable that was fine by me. But it's nice to know that maybe there's a solution for the future, and if does get implemented I will also be very grateful.
