CDN Errors

MSFT appears to be blocking this code from programmatic access of the website. We are seeing CDN errors now.

Get-LatestOSBuild: Unable to obtain patch release information. Akamai CDN denial-of-service protection active. Error: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

I noticed the same since 29.04.2026.

Just to add, in my case the block only appears when running it with the native Windows Powershell (powershell) or as SQL-Server Job (SQLPS).

There is no block when I run it with Powershell 7 (pwsh).
As a workaround I now run the script with pwsh from the SQL-Server Task and it works.
