We also have the same problem with az postgres server ad-admin create:

az postgres server ad-admin create \
    --resource-group "$RESOURCE_GROUP" \
    --server "$PG_SERVER_NAME" \

    --object-id "$PG_AAD_ADMIN_OBJID"

results in:

ERROR: (InvalidResourceIdSegment) The 'parameters.properties' segment in the url is invalid.

This is with 2.28.0 on Linux. We didn't see the problem with 2.25.0, 2.26.0 and earlier versions.

We believe this is a regression introduced in 2.27.0. Release notes for that indicate: "PostgreSQL, MySQL migration to GA API".

Confirmed that it works 2.26.1 and that it is broken with the above error in 2.27.0, 2.27.1, 2.27.2, and 2.28.0.

az mysql server is used for Azure MySQL Single server. we have deprecated this service. Please use az mysql flexible-server.
