Are you connecting to login.microsoftonline.com via a proxy? Could you share proxy-related settings?

I'm getting the same error. I tried to sign in both interactively and with credentials on the command line.

I'm connecting via a proxy and I'm using the 2.38.0 client version.

The recommended way to let Azure CLI use a proxy is to set the environment variable HTTPS_PROXY:

# Bash
export HTTPS_PROXY=http://<your_proxy_url>

# PowerShell
$env:HTTPS_PROXY='http://<your_proxy_url>'

# CMD
set HTTPS_PROXY=http://<your_proxy_url>

This solution worked in my case with my laptop.
SOLUTION: Use "az login --use-device-code." or other CLI login methods from here "https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/authenticate-azure-cli-interactively"

For me, it was showing a popup to select the default available accounts, but then it was throwing the same error as in the subject.
