ERROR: Error occurred in request., InvalidSchema: No connection adapters were found for 'C:/Program Files/Git/subscriptions/subscriptionName/resourceGroups/resourceGroupName/providers/Microsoft.Authorization/roleDefinitions?$filter=roleName%20eq%20%27reader%27&api-version=2018-01-01-preview'.

We are unable to assign roles using azurecli@2 in ADO pipeline using command az functionapp identity assign having ADO agent using vmImage: 'windows-latest'. Any suggestion on the adapters and why are we getting this issue. Below commands works perfectly : az functionapp identity show

Are you somehow using Git Bash in the ADO agent?

ERROR: Error occurred in request., InvalidSchema: No connection adapters were found for 'C:/Program Files/Git/subscriptions/subscriptionName/resourceGroups/resourceGroupName/providers/Microsoft.Authorization/roleDefinitions?$filter=roleName%20eq%20%27reader%27&api-version=2018-01-01-preview'.

This error is due to a known issue of Git Bash. See #16317 and #16317 (comment) for the solution.
