How to pass RELEASE variable name during "az pipelines release create" command

Hi

I am able to rrun "az pipelines release create" command and trigger the release

But in release we have variables, which needs to be provided

SO how can i create a release desired variable value defined.

@praduman1417 Thanks for the details, you can pass release variables during the az pipelines release create command by using space-separated “alias=version_id” pairs.

Here’s an example of how to use the az pipelines release create command:

az pipelines release create --definition-name MyPipeline --description "My release description" --artifact-metadata-list alias1=version_id1 alias2=version_id2
This command will create a new release for the pipeline named MyPipeline with the description “My release description” and will pass two release variables: alias1 with value version_id1, and alias2 with value version_id2.

I dont think --artificat-metadata-list option is taking the release variable in consideration, I have already tried running that and have no luck , Please REOPEN the issue
