Cannot set external redirect on AGW v2

Describe the bug

When using the commands to update rules and url path rules any redirections do not flow through to the AGW.

Expected behavior

Expected:

Expecting the redirect to be selected for this rule, but it does not show in portal or respected when navigating via the browser.
I do see the redirectConfiguration in the az network application-gateway rule show

from your screenshot, i found "routing rule", should we leverage the commands under az network application-gateway routing-rule?

Wouldn't that one create a new rule? I want to update an existing path-based rule from a backend pool to a redirect.

The context here is that I have servers which run during the day which I want to redirect to a maintenance page when we are doing maintenance on the system (without shutting down the VMs because we're working in them)

I'm struggling to see how that supports passing a redirect configuration from the documentation here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/network/application-gateway/routing-rule?view=azure-cli-latest#az-network-application-gateway-routing-rule-update.

Do you have any examples of turning a backend pool rule to a temporary redirect? I tried using rewrites but their redirects are permanent
