Clarification on starting contributions and current development direction #94
Description
I have been reviewing the openPIP repository and documentation to understand the system architecture and data ingestion workflow since the last 10 days. I did so to properly get familiar and then get in touch regarding the further works and the enhancements that are needed by the repo this summer.
Before beginning contributions, I would like to clarify the current development direction.
Specifically:
- Is active development planned for the modernization or rewrite of openPIP in the near term?
- Would contributions focused on data ingestion and validation improvements be useful at this stage?
I am preparing to start contributing and until the selections are announced lay out the groundwork for the repo so that migration and the upgradations can be done easily by anyone without much of the efforts.
