I'm a returning contributor and have implemented rate limiting, abuse prevention, and backend security features across several API services. I have experience designing endpoint-specific throttling that balances protection against abuse with a smooth user experience for legitimate users.

For this task, I'll add chat-specific rate limiting within BackendAcademy/src/chat/, integrate it with the existing backend patterns, ensure limits are configurable where appropriate, and add comprehensive tests covering normal usage, limit exhaustion, and recovery behavior. I'll also verify the implementation doesn't introduce regressions and document any configuration changes if needed.
