Question regarding multi-zone buildings and tracking of energy use

Hi,
I would like to simulate a multi-zone building and log HVAC power consumption alongside existing site metrics. Is there built-in multi-zone support? If yes, what’s the recommended way to define zones and access per-zone observations/actions?

If I'm seeing it correctly, there is currently no way to track HVAC power for heating/cooling/fans electricity. If not, is adding something like request_site_hvac_power() the correct extension point?

Hi, thank you for your interest in the project.

Regarding your first question: unfortunately, multi-zone scenarios are not supported. The room simulator was designed to simulate single rooms (you can simulate multiple single rooms at once, but only in separate EP simulations).

As for your second question: yes, electricity consumption is currently not included in the results, since our research focused on room climate. However, it should already be included in the eso output if your input idf file is configured correctly. To include it in the results, you would need to modify the converterEsoToCsv.py. If you make this change, feel free to contribute to the project.
