Notes for Special Meeting of RPC WG - 19 May 2023

Special meeting today with just myself and @hmalik88 to try to get CAIPs#217 over the line.

Topics discussed:

• caught up on some commits from earlier today that close the loop on these doubts I had about the PR
• refine language in CAIP-211 CAIP-25 example section to explain better the semantics of different options and their rareness/distribution. Added a new commit to make this more explicit before merging.
• remove CAIP-25's dependency on CAIP-170 and updating the relevant sessions tracking issue in case it gets put back in later, as an edit to 25 or as a separate extension spec.
• discussed how Wallet Connect uses sessionIdentifiers and spitballed various ways an identifier could be added if in-browser session state were tracked elsewhere (i.e. if in-browser wallets did NOT have any internal need for a cryptographic UUID). opened new tracking issue to debate removal of requirement # 5 in CAIP-171. Hassan will update the group after an internal alignment meeting on how sessions are managed in different flows with and without snaps.
