Try to integrate Forest and Curio in a local devnet. Perhaps some git necromancy could help as we had some attempts for this ~2 years ago; that said a lot has changed AND the entire thing didn't work well back then so might be better to start from scratch.
Suggested plan of attack:
- Build a local devnet with Forest as a validation node (Curio talking with Lotus). Lotus Miner might still be needed, at least some time ago Curio wasn't able to bootstrap a fresh devnet.
- Once we have a running devnet, replace Lotus with Forest. This should work fine but there might be some caveats.
- Once there, add an additional miner with Lotus so the final setup is Curio + Forest and Curio + Lotus (might be a still Lotus miner to produce genesis block).
- Run the devnet checks we have in place (mpool and wallet ones).
If any non-operational issues surface (like a bug in RPC method), report to the team for discussion.
