error terminated(killed) while running on linux cli

We're running CDPOP on an ubuntu 16.04, core i7 with 16GB RAM and when it gets to the 100th generation it crashes with error "terminated(killed)" right while it's on the InheritGenes() function.

We've noticed it's only using a single CPU of work-load while the system still has other 7 CPUs idle. Is there a parameter we can set to parallelize some of the workload?

Hello! This looks like you hit a RAM issue, so it would depend on the number of individuals and/or loci/alleles you are trying to simulate. Try increasing RAM or reducing these combinations first to see if you can solve this error.

On your second question; CDPOP's internal architecture can not run in parallel. The only processes that could be split up across CPUs, would be mcruns and/or batchruns. I will try to post another shell script that will illustrate how to split these 2 processes, but essentially a script to write and run separate inputvars.csv files across each processor is the way to do this.
