I've started working on this manually, then explored crowdin and other collaborative translation platforms, but my original idea was to ask an LLM to propose a translation that a user can then review.
We have spanish and portuguese natives in our team, so keeping an up to date version that is acurate should be achievable.
In order to do this, we need a machine to do automated translation for us.
I've found a few github actions that attempt to do this:
https://github.com/ardigan6/docusaurus-llm-translator : a simple python script that triggers the translation of a diff of mdx files . it is docusaurus-aware, but not sure if this is a pro or a con since it might turn it version-dependant.
https://github.com/ardigan6/docusaurus-llm-translator : this one is more generic, but has more stars... but it translates strutured data instead of markdown... so need to see whether it would work or not.
The documents we need to translate are the following:
- /docs -> /i18n//docusaurus-plugin-content-docs/current
- /whatsnew -> /i18n//docusaurus-plugin-content-blog
