Editor stuck after starting mcp server?

I've started following the guide by:

1. Added the package using the git link (the non beta-link: https://github.com/CoplayDev/unity-mcp.git?path=/MCPForUnity#main
   )
2. Went to the mcp window (Window -> MCP for unity -> Toggle mcp window)
3. Starting the server ("Start server" button)
4. A prompt shows up asking me if I'm sure - so I'm agreeing (clicking "Start server" button again)

At this point unity pops up with "Waiting for unity to finish.."
At some point the window it self disappears, but unity never finished and is stuck forever.

I tried restarting the editor and it keeps happening, always
