Describe the issue

Hi again. Sorry to disturb once more, but this came as a surprise to me, honestly.

To the point, I followed exactly the instructions given for the media to be installed correctly, and I actually got no problems with the installation.
Movies, photos, and music were put in PSBBN without any issues, at least when the metadata was put correctly in the music case --> it seems the year, album name, artist, and the tittle (not the name of the file) is necessary for the script to not skip or reject the song in question. It would be helpful if you could confirm this since using programs like MP3Tag to correct the metadata gets kinda tedious with time, specially since if you're using external methods to download music.
However, when the title of the album (or folder?) is put a special character like a space (ex. “Mix Cumbia”), PSBBN doesn't reproduce the song in question put in there, or tends to merge it with other albums creating a mess (ex. 2 albums where one is named “Music2015”, and the other “Summer - My Music”, the songs in the second album will merge with the first album for some reason).
Just to confirm I reinstalled PSBBN, troubleshoot, corrected the metadata many times and initialized the music partition various times. This was made with my actual PS2 Fat and with my healthy HDD, if you ask.
For now, from what I understood, when using separate folders to generate different albums they need to have a one word (tittle) without any spaces or especial characters that corresponds to their album name in their metadata.

Since this isn't a problem itself and more a doubt about on how this exactly works; could you tell me a simple guide on how to install music correctly, to avoid problems on the future when I desire to put more songs on PSBBN?

The only required fields are album title and track number.

No idea why that would happen. You would have to share the music files so I can see if I can replicate the issue. I've already fixed issues with special characters so this might no longer be a problem anyway, that fix will be coming with a future update.

Supported formats are .mp3, .m4a, .flac and .ogg. Each file’s metadata must include the album title and track number. Place your music files in the music folder. Don't install more than 4 albums. That's it.

Ok, I tried to re-create an small album with the possible error without the need to send all the songs, I also realized that the merge conflict could have been caused due to blank space on the tracks numbers, but I'm not really sure. I realized my error later on the day.
Changing the codec of the affected songs didn't do much either, which where MPEG 1 Layer III/MPEG 1 Layer III (LAME3.99r) that is MP3; to MPEG-4 AAC (Lavf58.76.100) that is M4A.
Who knows though? Maybe are the songs in question rather than PSBBN, VLC on PC reproduce them just fine but these files in specific always had some issues in regards of where to find them, and all.
You'll see that the ONLY album with reproduction problems would be the "To Dust" one, all others are fine regardless of their codec.

That download link doesn't work for me. In any case, the issues will be down to the metadata of the files. If the album title only includes the characters A-Z and 0-9 (other characters will be stripped), and the first 8 characters do not match another album, it will work. When the next update is made available, this requirement will be slightly loosened with the support of special characters.

You can open an issue for a feature request, but keep in mind the PSBBN UI is closed source and its functionality cannot be changed.

As suspected, the first 8 characters of the album's title and the track number are identical, so they register as the same track. I'll see what I can do about that.
