Thanks Martí Climent (@marticliment)! Now that I know there is no problem, I will override UAC on that folder for UniGetUI. Thanks again, John |

I am getting a Windows Notification that leads to a message in Windows Security.
This is the Windows Notification:
Windows Security
Virus & threat protection
Unauthorized changes blocked
Controlled folder access blocked UniGetUl.exe from making changes. Click to see settings.
When I click to see the settings, I see a message saying "Protected folder access blocked". When I looked, I found that this message was in Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection history:
Protected folder access blocked
Date Time Low
Your administrator has blocked this action.
App or process blocked: UniGetUl.exe
Protected folder: %userprofile%\Documents\UniGetUl\
Blocked by: Controlled folder access
You can allow apps to access your protected folders, but you should only allow apps that you trust.
Controlled folder access settings
Actions > Allow on device
I presume that allowing UniGetUI access to that protected folder is OK. But I am always wary of overriding Windows Security!
What does UniGetUI want to do in %userprofile%\Documents\UniGetUl?
Thanks very much,
John
