Hi Kristen @ksauby - The CF change and voting process we talked about during the last meeting were the rules for changing the CF Conventions document rather than the rules for changing CF Standard Names.

Hi all - An update on the CF voting rules that I mentioned during the last meeting. The newly rewritten/consolidated rules no longer have voting to decide a deadlock (a process that was never used in the decade(s) of CF). Over the years a new rule about forming small groups to discuss and bring conclusions back to the community have arisen to pretty much replace the vote rule. The current rules describe this current practice in the "role of interactive discussions in resolving the issue" section.
