landing page and scaling issue

The background image doesn't load up, and i think the UI can be improved a little(Maybe with some blur or more animations...). Moreover the scaling is a bit weird, like the movie thumbnails are too big. Overally I seriously love this project! For some info which might help to fix this problem:
