The editing ability relative to animals is entirely dependent on the abilities & knowledge of AudioLDM2 (or Stable Audio Open 1.0 in the code's latest version).
I did not check for many animals, so you could run AudioLDM-2 for text-to-sound generation to see what it knows. I tinkered around for a couple of minutes and found that it at least knows the sounds of a buzzing bee, wolves howling, birds chirping, duck quacking, some lion roaring sounds, monkey sounds, etc.
You can now also try to see what Stable Audio Open knows. E.g. It seems to know cow moos, and lion roars and it's in 44KHz which can sound better.
