How was pre-trained vectors fine-tuned for "non-static" and "multi-channel" ?

I was going through the codes, but I couldn't understand how did you fine-tuned pre-trained vectors for non-static and multi-channel? Can you please explain a bit about the fine-tuning concept in case of text?
