Unable to create app for spotatui

I've had a spotify account for a long time but never used the developer features so after trying to get spotify-tui up an running on Fedora it just didn't work for numerous reasons. I came across spotatui and was excited to see this ! Unfortunately I am unable to create an app and others also:

Any work arounds for this?

I just had a quick look and think spotify is currently making changes to creating apps.

The old apps I made are still available but creating new ones is not currently possible.

I had a quick look at making my old apps public but unfortunately that is not possible for me. There is a extended quota mode that allows unlimited requests so I could ship it with spotatui itself, but the request to change to the extended quota plan needs to come from a registered company and is not available for individuals like me.

I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for spotify to fix this .

this has been fixed because spotify opened up new app creation recently
@LargeModGames could the onboarding be updated to reflect any potential changes?

Yeah I was able to create the app but unfortunately hit a few errors that seem to be similar to issues that already are opened here #59 :

When I first run spotatui I get:
Api response: json parse error: missing field 'tracks' at line 1 column 1056

then after about 10 seconds the error changes to:

Api response: json parse error: data did not match any variant of untagged enum PlayableItem at line 106 column 3

The problem i a bit more annoying than I first anticipated. It seems that old apps still work fine, only newly created apps have the API limitations.

Spotify also set a limit for 1 app per user so I can't create a new app without deleting my old one that does work.

its fine, i just deleted my old app and made a new one. The old one wouldnt work after march 9th anyway

I just released v0.36.0, new apps created after February 11th should work now and I also included some fallbacks
