Good program but needs optimization

It is nice but it takes so much time retrieving drives, also when it extends the bar the supposed to be managing how much space you want it causes lags and closes the program. However, it is a good work and effort.

Hi! Thank you for checking out my GUI for Diskpart! It is still in development and as soon as I have some time™, I will add a proper documentation and features, as well as updating UI a little bit.

Sadly, as far as I know, I can't accelerate retrieving drives, since I just draw them from Windows Management Instrumentation and Windows Storage Management databases, which I can access using some Microsoft C# classes and Windows PowerShell.

Those databases are... very old. As far as I know, they exist since the 90's and it always takes Windows a while to load them...
If you access the Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc), it also takes a while, since it draws from the same databases.

As for the extending bars...
I am honestly confused, what exactly you mean...
Could you provide a screenshot and tell me, what you tried to do?

When first opened, the title bar extends just over the top of the screen might be what he meant.

This is a very good gui for diskpart, used it to shrink an unused 125 GB partition on the SSD, the desired size in mb was 32 gb. What happened was the partition was shrunk to 93GB and 32 GB became unallocated space. Which turned out to be what was required anyhow, and when the shrink operation had completed, the z-order of the GUIFD window switched to background, or last.

An option for MB/GB in the amount fields would be a bonus as well.
