_FIRST_® Branding & Lockup Guidelines

MARSLib is a professional-grade framework for the _FIRST_® Robotics Competition. To maintain the integrity of the _FIRST_® brand and our partnership with the program, all contributors and agents must follow these guidelines.

1. Naming Conventions

The term _FIRST_® must always be:

  • Italicized: _FIRST_ or *FIRST*.
  • All Caps: FIRST.
  • Trademarked: Accompanied by the registered trademark symbol ®.
  • Correct Format: _FIRST_®

This rule applies to all documentation, website content, and public-facing project materials.

2. Logo Lockup Rules

When using official _FIRST_® logos:

  • No Modifications: Never alter, animate, distort, or recolor the logos.
  • Maintain Proportions: Always scale logos proportionally. Never stretch or skew.
  • Clear Space: Respect the "safety zone" (minimum clear space) around the logo.
  • Full Color: Use the full-color version whenever possible.

3. Team Identification

As per the official policy, our team identification (MARS 2614) must appear in conjunction with the _FIRST_® names or logos on all materials.
