Just asking, would it be easy to make a centralized dashboard like 3DS-RPC where you can link your nintendo account and a server can handle the work? I have a PC but it's not always on when I'm playing.

I'm a dev so if you're not willing to work on it, I'd be happy to fork the project or make a pr to add this functionality myself

The only real trouble with this is that it would require a mock account to run on the server, and Switch friend lists are limited to ~300 friends. This would mean that for every 300 users who use the service, I would need a new Nintendo account.

Other than that, however, this is more feasible now than ever thanks to the expanded functionality of the NSO mobile app (i.e. the addition of the delete friends routes, etc.).

(The 3DS manages to get around this hard limit because Nintendo only unfriends people client-side, so you can just cycle your friend list 100 people at a time.)

(Edit: And I'm not going to ask for users' Nintendo login token because that could actually spell the doom of not just this project but every other like it)

I do already have a working version of this!

• nxapi-auth allows linking a Nintendo Switch user and supports registering to allow fetching presence data. I think this is similar to how the 3DS-RPC desktop app can be used with the 3DS-RPC website.
• nxapi-auth was actually previously called nxapi-discord, and was a little experimental service that did the second part - actually connecting to Discord to send presence data it was already able to fetch.

I requested access to request the activites.write scope required for this but unfortunately Discord did not approve it. (I was able to test nxapi-discord despite that though, using access tokens issued to other apps manually inserted into the database.)

I believe @MCMi460 does already have access to it for NSO-RPC in addition to 3DS-RPC though. If he would like to, maybe we could work together to run my existing service?

nxapi-auth currently has 7 system users, so can handle 2100 registered Nintendo Switch users. I also have two more users I haven't added to it yet. Currently 476 Switch users are registered (but not all with presence access).

I feel like this is probably something that should be looked into, once 3DS-RPC's actual queueing system is fixed. As its mostly a bugged black box of works/doesn't work, I feel like fixing that then adding NSO-RPC onto that would be a better solution.

It would be really cool to make something called 'NRPC' that unifies 3DS (with or without homebrew, it would probably be easier to do it with), Switch (without homebrew) and maybe even Wii, Wii U, and possibly DSi (with or without homebrew) into one service, that would be amazing. It would be very hard though, we need to first fix each part and then maybe someone can make a centralized service for it using the code from the others
