It would be very helpful if the Hyperreadable font family included an official italic style (and ideally bold italic).
Currently only regular and bold are available. In document generation workflows (e.g., XSL-FO with Apache FOP), italic text therefore results in either:
- artificially slanted text, or
- fallback to another font (e.g., Atkinson Hyperlegible).
Both lead to noticeable visual inconsistencies in generated PDFs.
A native italic variant would ensure consistent typography and avoid artificial slanting or font substitution.
