[BUG] Changes made to settings aren't updated immediately in v12

**Setup**
 - Module version: 1.2.0
 - Foundry version: 12.329

**Describe the bug**
When changes are made to settings (enabling or disabling vision sharing), the changes aren't applied immediately. Instead, some canvas interactions are required first, such as moving the token.

Doesn't happen in v11.
