[Linux/Ubuntu] Stuck when running with a double click - Runs well from command line

Hi! Really great project!

I downloaded the sharpide-linux-x64-0.1.16.tar.gz release. Ran chmod +x on the exec and ran it with a double click.

The first window appeared had the Godot title, which turned into SharpIDE after ~10s, and it got stuck.

If I run it from the terminal, everything goes well.

Where can i find the logs in order to see what happens if I run it with a double click?

Ok, after some digging I found this logfile: /home/<USER>/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/SharpIDE/logs/godot.log

I'll focus on

Path to dotnet executable is not set. 
The probed variables are: DOTNET_ROOT, DOTNET_HOST_PATH, DOTNET_MSBUILD_SDK_RESOLVER_CLI_DIR and PATH. 
Make sure, that at least one of the listed variables points to the existing dotnet executable.

and why it works fine from the terminal.

All right, the issues seems to be that Nautilus runs with minimal sourced PATH, which is missing the dotnet folder, while the terminal runs with a fully sourced PATH.

To make the app run with a double click, I had to add export PATH="$HOME/.dotnet:$PATH" to my .profile file.

Is this a known issue on Linux systems?

I ran into this issue on macos, and had to implement a workaround here https://github.com/MattParkerDev/SharpIDE/blob/18ed593fae3bed3da25f6660af2f7c4310a857cc/src/SharpIDE.Application/Features/Build/SharpIdeMsbuildLocator.cs

We could potentially extend this to linux as well. I'm curious how e.g. VSCode, Rider work around this issue.

Yeah good catch. If I can find the time to clone the repo and produce an AppImage, I might test it on my Linux machine,
