The claim

A pixelated spectroscopic boundary (CZT class) realizes mutual information per detected quantum within an order of magnitude of the ~24 bit counting ceiling of THEORY.md Section 8.1.

The test

Measure mutual information between machine state and detected (energy, pixel, time) triples on any bench source and detector; compare against the ceiling with measured resolutions substituted.
