XIOS SVN->GitLab (which version to use for XIOS build on GitLab please?)

Software dependencies for LFRic are listed at
https://metoffice.github.io/lfric_core/getting_started/installation/software_dependencies.html#

This mentions XIOS (r2701) but the webpage (SVN) no longer is accessible at
https://forge.ipsl.jussieu.fr/ioserver

So, how to build XIOS on new platforms please?

Presumably one needs to use XIOS' GitLab page?
https://gitlab.in2p3.fr/ipsl/projets/xios-projects/xios

But which commit, branch, tag please?

The package definitions at https://github.com/MetOffice/mo-spack-packages/blob/main/spack_repo/metoffice/packages/xios/package.py

are using https://gitlab.in2p3.fr/ipsl/projets/xios-projects/xios.git commit 2eb572f0986eca19031eb6c294d116646010687c for 2701 and xios-3.0.1.0 for 3.0.1.0.

Context: I am the Model Release Team Lead at ACCESS-NRI and Harshula is my Principal Engineer, and we use spack exclusively for building, testing and deploying our models, many of which include UM models.

We have a number of spack recipes:

and are keen to collaborate with the UKMO on spack.
