Perhaps you should click on a button to do work for a class instead of clicking on the class bar itself. There could also be another button to go to lecture. You would have to press the lecture button a bit before the lecture starts to give yourself time to get to the lecture; otherwise you will be late. There should be a penalty for being late to a lecture, as well as a penalty for not pressing the lecture button during the lecture: both penalties will consist of having extra work to do for that class (the bar being higher). It may be good strategy to not pay attention to a lecture (not press the lecture button) in order to do work for another class.
