regfile not supported

Creating a regfile inside the addrmap and instantiating it multiple times yields incorrect code.
Registers appear multiple times with the same address.
I looked at the code and I see that you are not supporting regfiles at the moment.
Do you have any plans to do so?

Hi,
yes, you are right, there are a couple of features not yet supported. We had several internal discussions and we definitely want to bring this forward and support the most important features. We and some other groups also have a giant internal codebase to maintain, and eventually plan to migrate it to this tools; this is why we want to deliberately chose the way to go forward.

Since this is only a version 0.2 one can expect that some thing will change in the next releases: we are planning to change the interface - instead of input or output port per each register we plan to generate just two records: one for the output signals and another one for input signals. After this change is done, additional features can be then added, regfiles and arrays are one of the first on this list.

I cannot promise you an exact date when we will implement this, but should be in a next couple of weeks.

Thanks, I actually started to see if I can add this myself.
I haven't actually tried it yet, but judging from the code, it looks like arrays aren't implemented either.

I have actually used RDL almost since its inception at Cisco, so I look forward to having a complete open source RDL flow.
ordt is nice, but I believe that Python is more appropriate for such a tool since it is much more flexible.
It also looks like its development has stalled as its main author no longer works at Juniper.
