No pdb file is ever generated despite the log saying it should be.

Is there some arbitrary file size limit here? I can get it to work on a tiny .json but not the 178mb one the plugin dumps from my binary ...

That error code means STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN. You'd need to grab a symbolicated stack trace of the crash or share the problematic JSON file for anyone to have a chance of looking into this probably
