Web Editor for MDF Models

Hello!

I have an idea to create an open-source TypeScript library — an interactive editor for MDF models directly in the browser.

Key features:

• Visualization of models as graphs
• Adding, removing, and editing nodes and connections
• Modifying node properties
• Exporting models in JSON/MDF format
• Model validation during editing
• The possibility of creating a desktop application for convenient local machine model management using Electron.js.

The project will be open and free, with no commercial intent — just for the benefit of the community and to make working with models easier.

I would be happy to hear the community's opinion on whether such a library is needed and whether it might be integrated into the ModECI ecosystem in the future.

Thanks for getting in touch! Something like that would be quite useful for driving the adoption of MDF.
There has been some work here on creating a GUI for loading, editing and running MDF models: https://huggingface.co/spaces/ModECI/MDF-UI. It's based on Streamlit and hosted in a Huggingface space. Code for it is here: https://github.com/ModECI/MDF-UI. There's still plenty to do for getting that fully functional, e.g. adding/deleting nodes.

If you were intrested in making a simple prototype UI in Typescript etc. which could load an MDF model and had some initial view of it, we could certainly point the way for more useful features.
