When we try to remove any of the translational degrees of freedom, we get the following error (or similar, depending upon x, y, z) and the simulation crashes:
"Index (3) out of range (0-2)"
Furthermore, in the simulation setup, there are fill-in boxes for inputs into the "direction" of surge, sway, and heave degrees of freedom. Such inputs are not applicable as NEMOH defines the surge in "x", sway in "y" and heave in "z" of the geometry. Any input into those fill-in boxes is ignored as it should be, but it is confusing to the user and they are unneeded.
