Holding CTRL not necessary?

I tried this exploit on a couple of systems and it works perfectly every time. Good job!
But I don't have to neither press nor hold Ctrl at any time to reach the unlocked command prompt. It works fine if I just boot into recovery with the USB drive plugged in.

So I'm curious about the "hold Ctrl" instruction in the README. Is it required on some systems and what exactly does it do?

Hey, don’t suppose you can help me? The exploit successfully opens up command prompt with admin permissions, but my drive remains locked by TPM and Recovery Key.. I’ve tried changing the volume letter which worked but the drive is still locked under the new letter. What did you do to make it work?
