iOS: How to update keymap on v4.7?

Hi @jonasbark ,

Question related to #246: I tried the new version this morning with the option to act as a keyboard and the shifting worked 👍 but now how can I update the keymap on the iPhone?
If I try to change a key, the app waits for some keyboard input that I cannot enter on the phone.

Yes, it's currently a limitation - I'll try to find a solution

For now you should be presented with "predefined keyboard inputs", namely the K and I. When I tried MyWhoosh on my iPad those two keys are the only ones supported anyway

I want to map some of those keys, can I manually edit the keymap file and use the key codes from this table?

yes, you could try exporting the keymap, do the adjustments and import it again

@jonasbark almost there. Only one key missing, the F10 for screenshots.
Do you know what values should I use for logical and physical keys? I've tried:

• logicalKey: 4294967305, physicalKey: 458825
• logicalKey: 4295426101, physicalKey: 458813
• logicalKey: 4295426101, physicalKey: 458819
• logicalKey: 4294967353, physicalKey: 458819

But none seem to map the F10 key.

I think it's a special key, which is currently not mapped in the HID profile. I'll investigate this at some point, as I'd also want to be able to send e.g. volume keys or similar
