App automatically down shifting

On my ride today, the app just started spamming downshift, so I was stuck in gear 1. If I shifted back up, it would instantly shift down again.

I closed and reopened the app and the problem would return after 10 or so minutes.

Using a Zwift click v1 on mywhoosh.

On which system? How are you connecting to MyWhoosh? Can you share the logs after it happened?

It's on Windows 11. Connecting via bluetooth.

Is there a way to see logs from previous sessions? Do they get saved somewhere?

No, not possible :)
But how are you connecting to MyWhoosh? I assume using the local connection method?

If it happens again, I'll copy the logs.

It happened again during my FTP test, had to abandon :(

I got the log, it's just the following 4 lines repeating over and over:

I also have a zwift play controller on the bike which I'm not using. Looks like it's trying to connect, so maybe I hit one of the buttons by mistake.

Yes that helps, but not much I can do about it I'm afraid

I think what can really help is a good external Bluetooth adapter - this helped quite a few people already

My Zwift Play controllers are packed away now, so it's not them interfering.

I've been thinking about getting an ant+ dongle to connect to the PC instead of bluetooth. Would that work with this app?

No, ant+ is a very different technology and neither the Zwift devices nor BikeControl supports it
