Bluetooth Keyboard not connecting on Mac from Android device

I used this method successfully one time and it was great. However, when I tried to connect from my Android device a second or further time, I was not able to use the controller as a keyboard. I tried to rebuild the connection and I'm not asked for a pairing key nor am I directed to the keyboard setup. This is an ongoing issue that I spent several hours troubleshooting.
I am able to connect on the Mac with the Mac specific version of Bike Control, but I would like the ability to use my Android as a backup.

If the devices are already paired then it's normal that the pairing dialogue won't popup again. The Bluetooth stack on macOS (and iOS) is quite buggy unfortunately and there's not much BikeControl can do about it

Which trainer app are you using?

I'm using MyWoosh which is experiencing the issue. I can and did connect using the Zwift and TPV application native connection methods. I cannot get the MyWhoosh Link connection to work from my phone, but it does work if I'm on the same device. Respectfully

Then why not use BikeControl on macOS, and then using the local connection method, which does not use Link, Bluetooth or anything similar?

Good question. I'm making sure that all connections work in my situation. Also, some folks are using Macs that aren't accessible while riding. I hope that helps and explains why I filed my report.
