Alternatives to full Scalarization

We currently scalarize the models (and I force it without a flag because it is easier) when support for Symbolic Arrays is added to ModelingToolkit we should change this scheme!

@JKRT either close or reframe: still architecturally relevant since MTK gained SymbolicArrays, but the ticket as written has no concrete plan. Close unless you intend to take it on.
