How to sync server with IPMI and OS

I have a device with IPMI and a server OS - as an example a Dell server running Hyper-V. Obviously, the IPMI and OS have different IP address and require different templates.

Is that possible? Is it already there but I just haven't figured it out? Do I have to create two different devices in Netbox instead?

We have this setup aswell. Various hypervisors with BMC as various IPMI, iDRAC, ILO etc.
Documented as a single netbox device, with Primary IPv4 documented for Server OS, and Out-of-band IP for BMC access.

I think it would be good to make people select a host interface when adding a template or (given you can add a template at the device type level) the other way around - you add templates to host interfaces. Or just have a new section - host interface templates. Haha.

At present, not easily. You can define different IPs via hostinterfaces for the different types (agent, ipmi, snmp, etc), but that doesn't cover all cases...

Covering all cases would result is a really complex setup, but let me think about it
