Missing Icons in Pinta's Top Menu
The Undo, Redo, and Image icons consistently fail to display whenever the icon set is located in ~/icons. However, if the icon set is placed in /usr/share/icons, the icons suddenly appear.

Are you using a flatpak or snap package? My initial guess would be that the sandboxed environment might not have access to your home directory, but maybe has some permissions to access the default-installed system icons.

I also assume you've set up ~/icons to be in the standard XDG search paths?

I am using Pinta 3.1.2 (Flatpak version).
Yes, the ~/icons directory is included in the standard XDG search paths.

Sandbox environment? I can't answer that off the top of my head. I wasn't aware that Pinta runs in a sandbox.

Yeah, the flatpak version is sandboxed - I think https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/desktop-integration.html#icons would be the relevant stuff for icons
