Routing along highway=platform seems broken

Issue

OSRM does not route along a highway=platform for pedestrians.

From searching the issues, it seems that this was fixed already? #6993 so maybe this is a regression?

The demo server is not operated by us and is running an older version of the code. We are waiting for an upgrade to happen.
