Relocate to JuliaMath?

It would be logical to have this great repo housed under the JuliaMath organization.

Note that 2 of the main comparison methods in the readme are housed there:

• https://github.com/JuliaMath/Interpolations.jl
• https://github.com/JuliaMath/Dierckx.jl

The benefits include discoverability and long-term maintenance.

I am tempted to switch to using this package, but I've been burned before by using an interpolation package that was maintained by a single developer (who seems nonresponsive now).
The public-facing ProjectTorreyPines organization pages shows the profiles of only 2 developers, which is only slightly more reassuring than a package maintained by 1 person.

@mgyoo86, you've been amazingly responsive to issues and PRs currently. Having it under an umbrella where many others in the open-source community could step in if your priorities change would provide the reassurance I'd need to make the switch.

Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it, and I agree with the motivation behind it.
This is also close to the discussion in #59, so I reference it here as well.

For now, though, keeping the current setup is probably the most practical option for me.
First of all, I’m not the owner of this repository; as you already noticed, this repo belongs to the ProjectTorreyPines group, one of my company’s GitHub organizations.
The public view only shows 2 people in this group, but there are actually dozens of people working in this group, developing various Julia-oriented 50+ packages for nuclear fusion science.

Although I’m the one developing this package, keeping it under the company umbrella makes it much easier for me to justify the effort and stay responsive. If it were moved to a fully independent open-source setup, I’d likely only be able to work on it in my free time, which would probably slow things down.

As also mentioned in #59, if SciML or another group eventually builds a meta-package for interpolation problems, I’d be very open to supporting FastInterpolations.jl as one of its backends. That feels like a more realistic path toward broader integration.

In any case, this repo is a public Apache 2.0–licensed repo, so contributions and PRs are always very welcome.
For now I’m mostly focused on the public-facing API, and I’ll keep working on cleaning up the internal API as well so that collaborative development becomes easier over time :)
