I have only found it today, but possibly this service would be useful:
http://seositecheckup.com/

I ran a quick check on python.ie and it reported:
"From 33 distinct anchor links analyzed, none of them appear to be broken."

It didn't give any report on broken links for images, css, scripts. But it might be worth setting up a free account to try it.
