Per IBM/qauvern#153, extensions vs parameters has been confusing with using the REST API to manage instances. For example, you can run into problems if you consume values from parameters rather than extensions. It would also probably help to have some examples or generally more docs.
For new content requests - if the request is accepted, do you want to write the content?
